CHARACTERISTICS AND FEATURES: Taambrus is a special formulated
range of products developed for specific application for copper and its
alloys. The product is either in powder form or block form.
Fluxes producing oxidizing conditions in the melting copper alloys are:

METHOD OF USING: When using in crucible furnaces, the selected
grade and quantity usually 1 kg per 100 kg charge is placed at the
bottom of empty crucible which is preheated to redness. The slag cover
is not distributed till melt is ready.
When using Powders normal addition is again 1%except when melting
dirty and fine scrap (Turning/Borings) it is recommended to use higher
percentage up to 4-5%. Powders are normally added in the early state of
melting and cover is not disturbed till melt is ready.
ADVANTAGES:
For melting under oxidizing condition:
- Controlled, convenient method of ensuring oxidizing conditions.
- Removes dissolved hydrogen from melts and prevent pick up from furnace atmosphere.
- Prevents steam reaction and resulting porosity in castings.
- Cleanse melt of copper and its alloys removing non metallic impurities.
- Material reduces metal losses in dross.
For melting under reducing / neutral condition:
- Minimizes oxidation losses of alloy components like zinc in brass, Brazing metal, gilding metals.
- Produces a fluid slag and reducing condition for melting of high conductivity copper.
- Much higher recovery of metal when melting Turning/ Borings in a rotary or reverbratory furnace.
MODE OF STORAGE: Keep in a dry place and away from the moisture.
SHELF LIFE: One year from the date of manufacture.
MODE OF PACKING: 50 kg in alkaline bag.
