Key Features
Metakote I-96 is a RFU dressing with Spirit based thixotropic coating
with excellent suspension properties containing carbonaceous fillers to
impart smooth casting finish, free from sand burns. Recommended for dip
/ spray applications on cold-box cores forming a refractory non - wet
table and non reactive barrier between the molten metal and mould or
core surface. This ensures a good surface free from sand fusion, metal
penetration.

Application
- Product is used for cold-box cores for application by dip or spray.
- Excellent suspension and easy remix ability ensures single dip application for uniform and thick coating.
- Coating is air dried for at least 4 Hrs after application imparting a homogenous and uniform coating film on the core surface.

- Less preparation time and fast deposit of the coating on the cores. Dipping application ensures a high productivity.
- Since no oven drying is required saving in energy cost and oven time can be achieved.
- Product gives a complete and uniform coverage, which ensures a
good casting finish, free from fusion and penetration and hence lowers
the casting cleaning costs. - Low penetration of the solvents ensures negligible deterioration in core strengths.
Storage and Handling: The product should be stored at a room
temperature under roof and away from direct sunlight and moisture and
fire. Use of safety gears and gadgets is a must while handling the
above product.
Shelf-Life: 45 days from the date of manufacture .
Standard Packing: 20 Kgs in poly carboys.
