SB 5

Application: SB 5 is a highly effective
inoculant based on ferrosilicon for grey and ductile cast iron. The
elements barium, aluminum and calcium give the alloy an excellent
inoculation effect over a wide range of applications.

Chemical composition:

• % Si 65 - 70
• % Ba 2 - 2.5
• % Al 1 - 1.5
• % Ca 1 - 1.5
• % Fe remainder

Addition:

The addition rate depends upon the
prevailing conditions such as temperature and method of addition and
should be in the range of 0,05 - 0,5 %.

Standard sizes:

• Grain size: GSK 26 (size for metal stream inoculation)
• 0.6 - 3 mm
• 2 - 6 mm

Packaging:

25 kg paper bags, 100 kg drums or 1 ton
big bags

Storage:

Kept in a dry place, SB 5 can be stored
in its original packaging indefinitely. Normal safety regulations are
to be observed. For further information, contact our shipping
