Metafinish -10 water based coating in Ready-For Use form. Based on high quality Zircon, it imparts excellent thixotropic properties resulting in superior suspension characteristics and grants excellent performance at high temperatures .Clean and smooth surface finish of casting is obtained.

Typical properties

• Colour : Off-White
• Specific-Gravity : 2.20-2.30 gms/cc
• Dilution Ratio (optional): 1: 0.15-0.25 (Product to Water)

Application

• Product is used for all Cast-Iron and Steel grades as well as for Aluminum and can be applied on Cores and Moulds of Cold-Box, Hot-Box, and Shell resin process.
• Suitable for Brushing as it is, and optionally dipping / spraying after slight dilution.
• Drying the coating has to be conducted in an oven at 150-180 deg for 1 Hr, whence a homogenous and dense coating film is developed.

• As the product is supplied in Ready-for-Use form, thorough mixing of all the Ingredients take place at the time of manufacture.

Storage and Handling
The product should be stored at a room temperature under roof and away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use of safety gears and gadgets is a must while handling the above product.

Metafinish-10 is a ready for use water base Zircon coating which is suitable for application on almost all metal castings including critical cast-irons and steel, formed from all types of sand binder systems.

• Specific-Gravity : 2.30 (+/- 0.05) gms/cc

Application

• Product has optimum properties needed to develop a well covered and bonded refractory layer.
• Product can be directly brushed on core surface without dilution or machine mixing.
• Spraying application is possible after diluting 8 parts product with 1 part water.
• Torching or oven drying the coated moulds/cores after air drying is compulsory to obtain thick bonded layer.

• Saves on oven drying costs since product is fast drying when air-set.

Metafinish -10 is a ready for use water based Zircon coating. It is having excellent thixotropic properties due to which coating remains in suspension form. It is recommended for cast iron & steel for better casting finish

• Specific Gravity @ 30^O C - 2.2- 2.3

METAFINISH 10 is used on shell core, Hot BOX core, Alkyd core, pepset core on sand core & Cold Box core by brushing application. The coating is to be brushed directly from carboy without any dilution. For spraying application the coating is to be diluted with soft water ( hardness of water should be less than 50 ppm) maintaining the related viscosity by B4 cup @ 30^OC between 22-25 sec. The above coating can be torched OR oven baked.
