Aquatek-AS-2 is a dark brown water based coating in Ready-For Use form. Based on high quality Alumina-Silicate and Iron oxide, it imparts low reactivity to metal oxides and excellent performance at high temperatures .Clean and smooth surface finish of casting is obtained.

Typical properties

• Colour : Dark brown Liquid
• Specific-Gravity : 1.50 (+/- 0.03) gms /cc
• Dilution Ratio : 1: 0.25--0.30 (Product to Water)
• Application Viscosity by B-4 cup : 14-16 seconds

Application

• Product is used for all Cast-Iron grades, especially automobile castings and can be applied on Cores and Moulds of synthetic Resin-Bond. .
• Suitable for Dipping, Spraying, Brushing, and Flooding or Over-Pouring types of applications.
• Drying the coating has to be conducted in an oven at 150-180 deg for 1 Hr, when a homogenous and dense coating film is developed.

Storage and Handling
The product should be stored at a room temperature under roof and away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use of safety gears and gadgets is a must while handling the above product

Shelf-Life : 6 Months from the date of manufacture .
Standard Packing : 25 Kgs in poly carboys .

This ensures a good surface free from sand fusion, metal penetration imparting clean and smooth surface finish of casting.
