Clay bricks are one of the main varieties in the aluminum silicate products. They are refractory products with the content of Al2O3 of 30% ~ 48% made of clay clinker as aggregate and refractory soft clay as binder.
The nature of clay products fluctuates over a wide range due to the wide range of chemical composition of the products (fluctuations in Al2O3 content of 30% to 48%) and differences in production processes. Refractoriness fluctuations at 1580 ~ 1700a ; its products better thermal shock resistance wide range of fluctuations generally greater than 10 times (1100a water-cooled); clay products linear expansion coefficient; 20 ~ 1300a between the average linear expansion The coefficient is (4.5 ~ 5.8) A 10-6a -1.
Clay products are weak acid refractory products with the increase of SiO2 content to make it acidic. It has a certain resistance to acid slag erosion resistance and alkali corrosion resistance of slag is poor. Therefore clay products should be used as the lining of acid slag furnace.
