A hollow drum is fixed on a robust frame that is supported by ball bearings. A detachable shelf that runs the length of the inside of the drum gathers abrasive charges and prevents them from falling on the cover. An electric motor drives a heavy-duty gear that rotates the drum at 30-33 rpm. The motor is designed to run on 440 volts, three phase AC power.
