TECHNICAL DATA SHEET 1 PRODUCT MAYUR SYNTHETIC WASHABLE DISTEMPER 2 Type Based on acrylic resin and for interior use. 3 Purpose It is suitable and economical walls finish for walls, brick work, concrete & asbestos work. 4 Properties Surface dry a 2 hours Hard dry a 24 hours Overcoating a 6-8 hours Finish a smooth matt finish Besides white also available in a wide range of colours too. 5 Thinner Tap water 6 Spreading rate (Theoretical) 8-10 Sq. Mts (100 Sq. ft) per kgs per coat depending on the type of surface. 7 Application Preferably by brush or otherwise can be roller coated too. 8 Shelf life 8-12 months from the date of manufacture. 9 Remark Mayur
acrylic washable distemper has a smooth paste like consistency. Thin
down slowly with water, stirring constantly. Approximately 2 parts of
water are required to thin down 3 parts of distemper paste to give
brushing consistency. However extra thinning will adversely affect its
binding properties and opacity. Avoid
keeping the material that has been diluted beyond 24 hours. Fresh
mixing to the desired consistency is recommended for best results. Remove
old lime, dry distemper or cement paint from the walls a then apply
Rainbow cement primer and Peacock W/T cement primer This will
effectively seal the surface from uneven absorption. Apply a minimum of
