The reaction of EDTA and NaOH solution was used to prepare: 292g EDTA and 1.2L water were added into the 2l reaction flask with stirrer.

Add 200 ml 30% sodium hydroxide solution under stirring and heat until all reactions are completed.

Add 20% hydrochloric acid to neutralize to pH = 4.5, heat to 90 a , concentrate and filter.
The filtrate crystallizes after cooling.

The product was separated by suction filtration, washed with distilled water and dried at 70 a to obtain disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid dihydrate.

Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and water are added into the enamel reaction tank, sodium hydroxide solution is added under stirring, heated to all reactions, hydrochloric acid is added to pH 4.5, heated to 90 a , concentrated, filtered, the filtrate is cooled, crystallized, washed and dried at 70 a to obtain ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium.

Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid was obtained by condensation of sodium chloroacetate with ethylenediamine, acidification and neutralization with sodium hydroxide.

Dissolve the crude product in 10 times water, add equal volume ethanol to precipitate disodium salt, then filter and wash.
