The operation algorithm is the following: the instrument measures the rate of counts which are created in a G-M tube after being irradiated by detected X-ray and gamma radiation. The count rate transforms automatically into the measured values over the whole range. The energy response to gamma radiation is effectively corrected by the energy compensating filter. The microprocessor is responsible for managing the operation modes, processing data and their output on LCD and self-diagnostics. The rated sensitivity in each range is automatically defined at calibration.
