L-band Satellite Modem

The L-Band Satellite Modem is used for Satellite RF data communication. It is divided in to transmit and receive chains. The transmit chain used to modulate data with 950 MHz to 1750 MHz RF Carrier. The L-Band Satellite Modem modulates RS422 based data input with option of Internal or External clock signal. The output power is user configurable from 0 dBm to -30 dBm in 1dB steps. The receive chain used to demodulate data from 950 MHz to 1750 MHz RF input which is down converted to 70 MHz IF. It is based on KEPL L-Band down converter, and ASIC demodulator. Data and clock outputs are RS422 based. RF input level detection is in -70 dBm to -50 dBm range. The transmit and receive chain`s frequency, data rate, transmit power, encoding and decoding are selectable through L-Band Modem software utility which is interfaced through USB connector with Computer.
