We can supply ceramic foam filters are as follows: 1.Silicon carbide ( SiC) is used as a distinctive element in the refractory mixture material to make foam filters. Gray in color, foam filter is a strong and durable foam filter, which can be used to purge and filter solution of ductile iron casting, grey iron and other iron casting. 2. Zirconia Ceramic Foam Filter is applied to purge and filter solution of steel high temperature metal such as steel alloy stainless steel etc.Typical application of zirconia ceramic foam filter is for in-mold, tundish, pouring cup or baffle-type filtration. 3. Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter is applied to purge and filter solution of aluminium and aluminium alloys. White in color alumina foam filter is made from high purity alumina (AI2O3). It has excellent ability to resist high thermal shock while maintaining efficient removal of impurities with continuous and thorough filtration. Principle Of Using Filter: a c Set the filters as close as possible of the casting. a c Use simple gating system without dirt trap ( improve yield). a c The working area of filter should be 4a 6 times of the section of chocked flow in gating system to make sure that the pouring speed is not affected. a c Select the proper filters according to types of metal and pouring temperature. a c The higher porosity, the better filtration.

Selection 1) Pore size is based on casting material and casting weight, regularly 10ppi and 20ppi for steel casting filtration. 2) Filter size is decided by the sculpt, fusion and the characteristic of ceramic foam filter. Notice of Application 1. In order to reduce the impact of hot molten metal to filters, pouring bowl shall put down as low as possible from filters. 2. It is recommended to use compressed air to blow dust off from filter before usage. 3. Ceramic foam filters should be stored in dry place to avoid moisture. How To Use 1.The closer the placement to casting cavity,the smaller the chance of secondary oxidation. 2.The design of the gating system should be simpler.It's not necessary to consider other slag blocking measures,which can improve the utilization rate of the sand type and the process yield. 3.The working area of the filter should be 4-6 times of the flow resistance section of the gating system to ensure that the pouring speed is not affected. 4.Selecting the appropriate filter according to the type of casting alloy and the pouring temperature,and it should not be overheated. 5.Selecting appropriate aperture to filter. 6.Filter can not be used to control pouring speed.
