Working principle: high voltage discharge excites high concentration CO2 gas to produce laser with wavelength of 10.6um.

It consists of three parts: hard glass, resonator and electrode.
1. Hard glass part;This part is made of GG17 material into discharge tube, water cooling sleeve, gas storage sleeve and return pipe.Sealed CO2 lasers usually have a three - layer casing structure.The most inside is the discharge tube, the middle is the water net sleeve, the most outer layer is the gas storage sleeve, the return pipe is used for connecting the discharge tube and the storage pipe.
2. Resonator part: this part is composed of full mirror and output mirror.The full-mirror of the resonator cavity is generally based on optical glass and has a gold-plated surface. The reflectivity of the gold-coated mirror near 10.6um is more than 98%.The output mirror of the resonator cavity is generally made of germanium (Ge), an infrared material that can transmit radiation of 10.6um, and is plated with multi-layer dielectric film.
3. The electrode part :CO2 laser generally adopts cold cathode with cylindrical shape. The selection of cathode material has a great impact on the life of the laser.

Different power laser tubes are mainly divided into different lengths.If the 60W laser tube is 1200mm or 1250mm, the length of 80W is generally 1600mm.
