Bung Welding System employing GMAW-WISE Process.

The Bung Welding of LPG Cyliners is done using Synergic MIG welding process with Activated WISE Fusion. Wise Fusion software helps in optimising the arc length to its shortest length without short circuits. This process is Spatter Less and ensures proper fusion, in single or double Weld Run.

I.          Purpose                      :

The Bung welding fixture is an operation specific SPM which performs the last task of

automatic welding of Gas Valve bases or Bung  to LPG cylinder halves. The LPG Cylinder sizes are

12kgs, 14.2kgs & 17kgs.

 II.         Description    :

            a. Mechanical Fixture            :  The machine consists of a 45 Tilted turntable with fixture and

            pneumatically operated Torch Stand. The fixture locates and centres the sub assembly on to

            the turntable which is driven by AC Induction Geared-Motor assy.  The Rotational

            Speed is controlled by a VFD.  A sheet metal enclosure alongwith the sliding door is

            mounted on the base frame, in order to prevent ARC radiation. A viewing window fitted with                      Dark Glasses is provided on the sliding door to  enable visibility of the welding ARC.

c. CONTROL  PANEL  : The Panel  interfaces the mechanical system with the welding equipment

in a pre-selected mode of operation on a Single Touch.
