Aquacoat Sr-635 Xb Water-based Release System

Aquacoat 635 XB is a semi-permanent, water-based release system designed for molding operations where non-transfer of release agent, high temperature stability, a high degree of slip, and abrasion resistance of the release film are important.

Aquacoat 635 XB is a water-thin liquid and ready to use. The release system becomes functional after curing. The release film is micro thin and stable up to 300A C. It adheres to mold surfaces and provides multiple releases with virtually no transfer to molded parts. When applied according to instructions, it also reduces build-up on molds.

Application:

Thoroughly clean the mold.
There are two different possibilities for sealing the mold with Aquacoat 635 XB before production:
a) Apply Aquacoat 635 XB during the heat-up of the mold, recommended at a temperature of at least 80A C-90A C. This will improve the durability of the Aquacoat 635 XB film and provide the maximum number of releases.
b) Apply Aquacoat 635 XB at the process temperature of the plastic types. This saves time.
Apply at least two uniform, thin coats before production, allowing a short drying time between each coat.
Reapply a light coat of Aquacoat 635 XB at process temperature when required to maintain the desired release.
