Spindle-Wedge : T-SLOT is housed in the wedge in such a manner to improve transmission efficiency of torque from spindle to wedge and ensure leak tightness. the solid flexible wedges fitted in Gate Valves are Cast Steel having 13% Chrome Welded seat facings, machined with extreme accuracy and finally ground and lapped to a mirror finish to secure no-leak condition and to minimize the risk of galling.
