Terratan Roll Brown Leather

Terratan is a next-generation, plant-based leather alternative developed by Bharat Biomaterials, based in Rajasthan, India. It is made by upcycling agricultural waste (such as crop residues) into high-performance, bio-based material using proprietary binders and scalable manufacturing processes. The material is cruelty-free, non-toxic, and up to ~90% bio-based, designed to match the look, feel, and durability of traditional leather while significantly reducing environmental impact. Terratan is engineered for scalability and affordability, using roll-to-roll production, making it suitable for industries like fashion, footwear, automotive, and furniture. At its core, Terratan aims to replace animal leather and petroleum-based synthetics with a sustainable, circular material built from renewable resources.
