Appearance: Pure sodium sulfide is colorless crystalline powder. Industrial sodium sulfide is light yellow flakes.
Solubility: Soluble in water insoluble in ether slightly soluble in ethanol
The aqueous solution is strong alkalinous easily oxidized when exposing to air. Toxic.
Application: Used for making sulfur dyes and sulfide as an agent in ore flotation and other chemical compounds etc.

Storage: Stored in a cool ventilated warehouse. Away from fire and heat. Sealed package. Should store separately with acid and oxide avoid mixed reserve.
