Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose
Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) is a granular powder that is
odorless and its color varies from white to almost white. In its
manufacture, cellulose acquired from wood pulp or cotton fibers is
soaked in sodium hydroxide solution, due to which an alkali cellulose
is formed. This alkali cellulose is made to react with sodium
monochloroaceate, which results in the final product, CMC sodium. We
manufacture this powder in various grades, namely low, medium or high
viscosity. These are grades depend upon I.P., food grades and tech.

agent, water-absorbing agent, viscosity-increasing agent, stabilizing
agent, and the disintegration of tablets and capsules.
