Seat Weight Sensors

We have carved out a position in manufacturing, exporting and supplying of Seat Weight Sensors in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, India. Takata's seat weight-sensor systems, which are installed in the front passenger seat, were developed for the North American market. When the front passenger seat is empty or a child seat is positioned in the seat, the airbags will not be activated. Seat weight sensors measure the weight of passengers in the front seat and are designed to determine the occupant's body type. In the case of smaller passengers, including those in child seats positioned in the front passenger seat, the sensors help to enhance safety in collisions by either turning off the airbag function or making the airbag open with less force. For this purpose, these sensors are constantly making determinations about the body type of occupants when the car is moving.
