SRF 75

Application:

SRF 75 is a highly effective, FeSi 75-based inoculant for grey and ductile iron cast iron with a very low aluminum and calcium content. The inoculation effect is achieved through the strontium content of the alloy. Using SRF 75 in the production of ductile iron can be particularly effective when products with low calcium and rare earth contents are used in the smelting, desulphurization and treatment processes.

Chemical composition:

• % Si 73 - 76
• % Sr 0.6 - 0.9
• % Al max. 0.5
• % Ca max. 0.10
• % Fe remainder
  

Addition:

Addition depends upon the inoculation process used. As a rule it is between 0.05 and 0.25 % by weight.

Standard sizes:

Grain size: GSK (size for metal stream inoculation)

• 0.6 - 2 mm
• 2 - 6 mm

In this grain size the Si-content is slightly below the a. m. value.

Packaging:

25 kg paper bags or 100 kg drums

Storage:

Kept in a dry place, SRF 75 can be stored in its original packaging indefinitely. Normal safety regulations are to be observed. For further information, contact our shipping department.
