Meta Set

Meta SetMETASET is a fast setting binder system. It is a two-part system free from Nitrogen & Sulphur. The system is suitable for moulding as well as core making for the production of steel, cast iron & light alloys casting.The META SET System consists of two parts: METASET 910 BINDER : Phenolic resin. METASET 920 CATALYST : Ester base Catalyst. Application Sand Composition 80/100 washed silica sand : 100 parts. METASET 910 Binder : 2% based on sand . METASET 920 Catalyst : 20 % based on binder. Mixing Cycle Add Catalyst to the sand & mix for 1.0 minutes. Add the binder & Mix for 1.5 minutes. Total mixing time is approx. 3 minutes. Recommended quality  of sand Carbonates : Nil. Clay Content : 0.2% max. Moisture : Minimum possible. Properties of Sand Mix. Bench Life : 5 to 25 minutes (depending on the grade & addition of catalyst) Breakdown Properties : Being a phenolic resin system, the sand has excellent Gas Evolution : Gas evolution is very low.
