CHARACTERISTICS & FEATURES:

It is a low priced air setting binder for making small and medium sized moulds. Sand made with Sandmix can be used as facing sand in Green Sand Moulding.

SANDMIX is supplied in powder form. The product is very simple to use. The sand can be mixed in any ordinary sand muller.

Water based or alcohol based paints are recommended for better finish. The addition of Sandmix in green moulding sand to the extent of 0.5 to 0.7% improves cushioning properties and reduces expansion defects such as scabbing and rat tails.

MIXING PROCEDURE OR METHOD OF USING:

• 100% Dry silica sand, 5% of Sandmix by weight of dry sand.
• Dry mix for 2-3 minutes.
• Add 3 to 4% moisture and mix for another three minutes.

BENCH LIFE : 30 to 40 minutes
GRADES AVAILABLE:

• SANDMIX -82 S-Standard grade with superior performance.
• SANDMIX -36 B-General purpose economic grade.
