In this process the work pieces are mounted on special work piece holders and dragged in a circular motion in a container filled with grinding and polishing media. The stationary media strikes the work prices and slides off leading to a grinding off at in a very short time and giving high precision rounding of edge or very high luster finish.

Various sizes of machines are available which can process from 18 to 60 work pieces per batch and produce uniform reproducible results. Special machines and compounds are also available for pharmaceutical industries where operations are to be carried out in sterile atmosphere.
