Camelina oil (commonly known as Gold of Pleasure) is cold pressed oil from the seeds of Camelina Sativa. It is also called false flax since it is often found growing wild amongst flax. Camelina oil is very rich source of Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA's): Omega-3 amount to about 40% and Omega-6 to about 20%. The oil contains large amounts of magnesium, vitamins E, A, D, K, B-carotene. Throughout history the oil was used for treatment of wounds, burns, eye infections and stomach ulcers. Due to alpha-linolenic acid and linoleic acid, Camelina oil has very good effects on the skin: acts as anti-age and improves the elasticity of the skin.
