Wood Neutral Grounding Resistor (Ngr)

The industrial power systems, both ungrounded and solidly grounded can be grounded by inserting a Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) between the system's neutral and ground. The grounded NGR system prevents impermanent over voltages and let the destructive ground-fault current flow. By installing this device, the ground fault current can be lowered to a predetermined value and unwanted fault damage can be prevented. The faults can be located and isolated by using ground-fault relays on feeders.

The resistor can be developed using material, like stainless steel, cast iron, copper nickel, FeCrAl or nichrome. To ground transformer or generator, resistors up to 66 KV for fault of short duration like 10 sec., 30 sec., 60 sec., continuous etc., can be used. The resistors offered are rugged designed, have shock proof body and heat & rust resistant.
