This Panel is used to protect the patients and the sensitive equipments in Intensive Care Units or Operation Theaters from the transients of the Main Supply and Earth Leakage in any of the Electrical/Electronic Equipments used in these places.

Transients are generated in the Main Supply whenever any heavy load or inductive/capacitive load in switched ON or OFF on the Main Supply within your own premises or in the same supply line. Transients are very high voltages (of the order of Kilo Volts) at very high frequency. These transients are very damaging to the sensitive equipment and the Patients connected to various instruments & machines to monitor the Patients condition continuously.

With the use of more and more Electrical/Electronic machines & instruments on the Patients, there is a great possibility of any of these machines getting a weak insulation due to some fault or mishandling. This condition results in giving an excessive current through the body of the Patient as he is lying on the bed connected to earth. This condition is recogonised as Earth Leakage and our panel is able to sense the leakage current from 3milli ampere onward and give an alarm or trip the supply to the instruments to save the Patient and the instruments and machines if the leakage current goes beyond the set limit. Our Panel also displays the actual Leakage Current on a Meter.
