He established the first iodized salt plant in North India and named it M/s Goyal Iodised Salt Works. He arrived in Nawa with the intention of establishing a sizable salt industry. After realizing how important iodine is, he began iodizing salt and storing it free in 70–100 kilogram bags. He began putting salt in 25 kilogram and 50 kg little pack
