Indications:-
In prevention of a dehydration of all typesexcessive tissue protein catabolismdepletion of liver glycogenvehicle for IV administration of numerous drugs.

In the cases of when oral intake of food and water is limited as in preoperative and post operative patients or in the patients with severe hepatic or cardiac or GIT disease.

Correction of deficit of water as in the case of inadequate water intake and excessive water losses in urine and perspiration.

In the treatment of ketosis in starvation diarrhoea vomiting or high fever.

In promotion of Sodium excretion when there is excess Sodium in the body due to excessive use of electrolyte solutions.

To provide adequate calories to the body

To provide temporary relief from cerebral oedema hypoglycaemic coma circulatory collapse.

Composition :-
Each 100 ml. contains:
Dextrose Anhydrous 5.0 gm.
Each 10 ml. contains :
Dextrose Anhydrous 10.0 gm.

Dosage :-
5% : 1500-3000 ml/day for short terms maintenance therapy 1500-2000 ml/day over 8-12 hours

10% : 1500-3000 ml/day for short term maintenance therapy 1500-2000 ml/day over 8-12 hours.
