Round: Dia. 20 a 300mm
Flat: Thickness 20 a 200mm width 60 a 610mm
Delivery condition: EAF or ESR Hot rolled or forged Peeled or black surface normally annealed.

Properties :
High carbon and high chromium ledeburitic 12% Cr alloyed cold work tool steel high compressive strength fairly good dimensional stable during heat treatment extremely resistant to wear against abrasive and adhesive low distortion deep hardenability non-deforming medium toughness and good edge-holding properites. Not suitable for nitriding and electrical discharge machining.

Heat Treatment :
Annealing : 800 - 850 A C
Hardness after annealing : Max. 248 HB
Stress relieving : Approx. 650 A C
Hot forming : 1050 - 850 A C
Hardening : 940 - 970 A C
Quenching media : Oil Salt bath ( 220 - 250 A C or 500 - 550 A C )
Air or compressed air up to 25 mm thickness
Hardness after quenching : 63 - 65 HRC
