Properties of A4 Paper:

The quality of A4 Paper is determined by GSM (gram per square meter). It is in fact the thickness of the paper. For instance an 80gsm paper will be thicker than 70gsm paper. Thicker papers are used for drawing with markers or coloured pencils of bigger cross-section. Posters are normally made in 120gsm so that the heavy ink markers do not burst through the paper. However, due to concerns about environment because of cutting of trees for obtaining paper pulp use of lower GSM paper these days are recommended.
