Venetoclax Tablets 100mg

Venetoclax is used alone or in combination with obinutuzumab (Gazyva) or rituximab (Rituxan) to treat certain types of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL; a type of cancer that begins in the white blood cells) or certain types of small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL; a type of cancer that begins mostly in the lymph nodes).

Targeted Cancer Therapy: Venetoclax is a BCL-2 inhibitor, a type of targeted therapy that works by blocking a specific protein (BCL-2) that helps cancer cells survive.

Used for Blood Cancers: It is used to treat specific types of leukemia, including Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL), and certain forms of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Risk of Tumor Lysis Syndrome: One of the most serious risks is Tumor Lysis Syndrome (TLS), a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the rapid breakdown of cancer cells. Close medical monitoring is required, especially during the initial treatment phase.

Prescription and Dosing: The tablets are a prescription-only medication, and the dosing schedule is carefully managed by a doctor, often starting with a low dose and gradually increasing over several weeks.
