Terbinafine Hydrochloride B.p.1% W/w.

Terbinafine is an allylamine derivative reported to have a broad spectrum of antifungal activity. It is considered to act through inhibition of fungal sterol synthesis. Terbinafine is fungicidal against dermatophytes, moulds and certain dimorphic fungi and some yeasts.

Indications:
Myco-Ter is indicated in the treatment of the following conditions in adults and children:
Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton sp.
Yeast infections of the skin, principally those caused by the genus Candida.
Pityriasis versicolor due to Pityrosporum orbiculare, P.Ovale(Melassaezia furfur).

Dosage and administration:
Myco-Ter cream can be applied as a thin layer over the affected area once or twice daily:
In Tinea pedis, Tinea cruris, Tinea corporis apply Myco-Ter for 1 week.
In Cutaneous candidiasis, Pityriasis versicolor apply Myco-Ter for 2 weeks.

Contraindications:
Myco-Ter is contraindicated in individuals hypersensitive to terbinafine or any other ingredient of this formulation.
