Sunlenca (lenacapavir) 464 mg injection (technically 463.5 mg/1.5 mL) is a first-in-class HIV-1 capsid inhibitor prescribed with other antiretrovirals for adults with multidrug-resistant HIV. Administered subcutaneously every 6 months by a healthcare provider, it works by disrupting the virus's life cycle at multiple stages.
Dosage & Administration Sunlenca requires a specific initiation period using oral tablets before transitioning to the biannual injection:
Day 1: 600 mg taken orally (2 x 300 mg tablets).
Day 2: 600 mg taken orally (2 x 300 mg tablets).
Day 8: 300 mg taken orally (1 x 300 mg tablet).
Day 15: 927 mg administered via subcutaneous injection (2 x 1.5 mL injections).
