It is a kind of mechanical grading device by taking advantage of the principle that solid particles with different gravity have different precipitation speed in the liquid. Spiral classifier is capable of classifying and filtering materials from the grinding mill and then sending the coarse materials back into the mill by spiral blade and discharging the fine materials from the overflow tube. There are mainly four types of spiral classifiers: high weir single spiral classifier, high weir double spiral classifier, immersed single spiral classifier and immersed double spiral classifier.

Working Principle:
Spiral classifier makes use of the principle that solid particles with different sizes and specific gravity have different precipitation speed in the liquid. Fine mineral particles float in the water and flow out, and the coarse ore particles sink into the bottom. The pedestal of spiral classifier is made of U-steel. Its body is welded and made of steel plate. Spiral shaft is coated with pig iron, which makes it wear resistant and durable.
