Sorbalgon (Calcium Alginate Dressing)

We are engaged in distributing and supplying excellent quality Sorbalgon (Calcium Alginate Dressing) to our valuable clients. Sorbalgon consists of high quality calcium alginate fibres which can be used either in ribbon form (Sorbalgon T) to be placed loosely into deep or cavity wounds or in sheet form (Sorbalgon) to cover wounds.
Upon absorption of exudate the fibres swell and transform into a hydrophilic non-adherent moist gel that fills the wound in order to provide an environment that promotes wound healing without any occlusive effect. Sorbalgon prevents dehydration of the wound and has a regulative effect on exudate. Granulation and epithelialisation are enhanced and the wound surfaces remain supple. Owing to its close adaptation to the wound areas bacteria and exudate are trapped within the gel structure.
The fibres contain no medicated additives and are especially well tolerated even during long term application.
