Passive Harmonic Filters are currently the most common method used to control the flow of harmonic currents. They are built using a series of capacitors and inductance forming an LC circuit in parallel with the power source, Inductor (Lp) and capacitor (C) provides low impedance path for a single (tuned) frequency. An inductor (Ls) is required to detune the filter from the electrical system and other filters resonance point.
This helps to meet IEEE-519 guideline.
