These heating elements find wide applications in various industries such as metallurgy, glass, ceramics, magnetic materials, heat-resistant materials, etc. They come in different shapes including "pole," "U," and "W." Special shapes like right angle and bend angle shapes can be produced according to customer requests. Typically, "U" and "W" types are commonly seen.
Element specifications include A 3mm, A 4mm, A 6mm, and A 9mm according to the hot end diameter. The length of the hot end and cold end can be adjusted within rational utilization limits.
Surface Load
Choosing the correct surface load for the elements according to furnace structure, atmosphere, and temperature can prolong their lifespan. The diagram below illustrates the relationship among furnace temperature, element temperature, and surface load. The shaded area indicates the surface load within usual temperature limits when the heating elements radiate without hindrance.
Points to Note for Element Use
MOSI2 heating elements are relatively brittle at usual temperatures but become plastic at high temperatures. Therefore, it's advisable to hang and erect "U"-shape elements vertically. Alternatively, they can be erected differently as per heat model requirements. The cone-part of the element should extend inside the furnace. Initially, the MOSI2 connector fixture shouldn't be screwed too tightly. Re-tighten it when the element temperature rises to prevent breakage due to plasticity.
To avoid vertical erection touching the boiler end, maintain a distance of not less than 25mm between the element and the boiler end.
The furnace top must have good heat preservation functionality, with its temperature generally not exceeding 300A C. To prevent connector overheating, the voltage between the power connector and the element should be low by 0.1V. Keep a distance of not less than 50mm between the low end of the connector. Generally, A 6/12mm elements should not be used at 170A for a long time. Similarly, A 9/18mm elements should not be used at 300A for an extended period.
Element Usage
ATTENTION:
Handle elements gently during movement and erection due to their brittleness and lower bend strength at usual temperatures.
Use transformation equipment while using elements, preferably variable transformation equipment instead of fixed voltage.
Avoid screwing elements too tightly to ensure flexibility at high temperatures and prevent damage.
Consider the furnace atmosphere's influence on the using temperature when choosing elements.
Correctly choosing the elements' surface load can extend their lifespan.
Continuous usage of elements can extend their service life.
Erecting elements vertically can prevent contact with the furnace's inner wall.
Elements should not come in contact with sulfide, metal, and porcelain enamel at high temperatures.
