In western countries candies made from extract of Liquorice are helpful in soothing sore throat irritating cough allergic seasonal cough and cold and chest congestion. This is described as a Rasayana herb in Ayurveda because helps to control weakness due to chronic illness memory loss immunological imbalance and aging. Maduyashti is a popular ingredient of Hair oils meant for falling thinning and premature graying of hair. It is used in Ayurveda for hyper pigmentation of skin minor itching and other seasonal allergic skin diseases.
