Hs+bq Vaccine

HAEMORRHAGIC SEPTICAEMIA and BLACKQUARTER (HS+BQ) Vaccine is a combined vaccine used for prophylactic measures to control both haemorrhagic septicaemia and blackquarter diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida and Clostridium chauvoei infections in cattle and buffaloes. It has an added advantage of protecting the animals in a single inoculation simultaneously against the two diseases.

COMPOSITION: HS+BQ Vaccine contains formalin inactivated cultures of Pasteurella multocida (strain P52) and Clostridium chauvoei (strain 49). The inactivated cultures are purified and concentrated separately before adjuvantation with aluminium hydroxide gel.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: 4 ml for all age groups of cattle and buffaloes. For subcutaneous use only. Shake well before use.

VACCINATION SCHEDULE:
Primary Vaccination : 6 months of age and above
Booster Dose : 6 months after primary vaccination
Re-Vaccination : Annual

PRECAUTIONS: Immunize only healthy animals. Malnutrition, infestation with worms, administration of immunosuppressive agents such as corticosteroids or radiotherapy will interfere with the immune response to vaccine.

POST-VACCINATION REACTIONS: Generally, there are no adverse reactions noticed. Occasionally a transient swelling may occur at the site of injection, which will subside in 24-48 hours.
