Gabions cages are composed of hexagonal mesh which is woven of metal wire whose diameter is according to the size of the hexagonal. Generally used in dams and rivers, mainly functions include reinforce the riverbanks and guide the river, because of the excellent performance : anti-corrosion ,strong structure and extensibility.

Low-carbon steel wire galvanized always used for producing gabion box. According to the standard ASTM and EN, diameter of wire should correspond to the project design demands.
In general, diameter is between 1.8mm ~ 4.0mm.
In standard, also stipulate that Wire Tensile Strength not less
than 400N/mm2;
Diameter of edge wire should be bigger than of body wire; to protect metal coating or plastic coated layer, length of two kinds of wire connective part not shorter than 50mm.

Surface Treatment:
1)Hot-dipped galvanized (Zinc content: 50g--300g/ m2)
2)Electroplating galvanized (Zinc content :8g--10g/ m2)

3)Galvanized with PVC coated (Thickness of PVC layer : 1mm; Green color, grey color, or Black color)
