There are 24 Red coloured LEDs ( Light emitting Diodes) each corresponding
to half an hour. A green LED lights up when switched on indicating the system is on and
armed. The key unit with red button is made available to the security guard. A buzzer in the
key unit sounds every half an hour for about one minute. The guard required to acknowledge
the alarm by pressing the red switch within that period. A corresponding LED will glow
indicating the alertness. Next day when the management staff inspects the Guard alert monitor
in the morning and if finds all LEDs glowing, it indicates that the security staff was alert and
acknowledged the buzzer. In case some of the LEDs are not glowing, that means during that
corresponding time the guard has not acknowledged the buzzer and may not have been alert.
