Dr. D.S. Arora has a long experience in the teaching of this subject. He has been a member in the Board of Studies (Applied Sciences) of the Panjab University. He is also a life member of the Indian Geologists Association, Indian Geotechnical Society, International Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering and the International Society for Rock Mechanics.
