Salient features of the machine
1.Single men labour is enough to operate the machine. It peels 200-250 kilos of garlic per hour. Manually 4 men are required to peel off same quantity.
2.If manual labourers are engaged 4 skilled laborers would be required to beat them in ground after filled in gunny bags. But they can able to peel only outer coverings and may cause 10 per cent damage. The wage rate for manual peeling is Rs.2/- per kilogram.
Because of direct sun drying leads to dehydration of oils and reduce the quality of the dried matter.
