Applications

1. Pharmaceutical industry

Used to synthesize key clinical drugs, including antipsychotics and antibiotics. Intermediates include p-chloro-p-fluorobutyrophenone (for haloperidol). Also used in the manufacture of trifluperidol, penfluridol, and ciprofloxacin.

2. Pesticide industry

Intermediate for high-efficiency insecticides and ovicides. Fluorine structure enhances activity and stability. Used in producing low-toxicity pesticides such as flufenoxuron.
