Diethylcarbamazine tablets is used in the treatment of worm infections and filariasis. It is also used to cure Bancroft's filariasis, Eosinophilic lung i.e., tropical pulmonary eosinophilia, tropical eosinophilia, Loiasis, and River blindness (onchocerciasis).This drug belongs to a class of medications called anthelmintics. It helps in killing the parasitic worms that cause parasitic worm infections and Filariasis this medication cure infection.It works by killing both the larval and adult forms of the parasitic worms which is the cause of Filariasis. This medication does not work on any other kinds of worm infections like pinworms, tapeworms.
