The establishment of a company includes the following procedures:
A Checking the availability of a business name
A Preparation of the incorporation documents
A Setting a date for notary operations. All founders or their representatives and all board members shall have to participate in the notary operations.
A The founders open an intitial account at a bank and deposit the share capital. The bank shall issue a certificate on the share capital deposit.
A State fees shall be paid and we will submit the documents to The Register of Enterprises of Republic of Latvia. The registration takes up to 4 working days.
A If an authorised person is representing the founder, the letter of authority must be notarised. For a foreign company also authenticated by an apostille or legalised.

Foreigners
If the founder is a foreign legal person
Legalised registry documents of the company will be needed. If it is a country that has joined the Hague Convention for Abolishing the Requirement for Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents from 5 October, 1961 (see the list), the signature and seal on the document shall be verified with an apostille by an authorised official of the country of origin (e.g. Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs). But if the legal person is from a country that has not joined that convention, the registry documents must first be certified in the respective institution of the given country and after that legislated in the embassy of the Republic of Latvia.
