Coalescing Filter - High Efficiency Microglass Fiber Media | Oil Mist Removal Up To 99%, 5000 Psi Working Pressure

Our coalescing filter is designed for compressed air, natural gas, speciality gases, CNG/NGV (compressed natural gas/ natural gas vehicles) and Air/oil filter applications. Our coalescing filter can be effectively used with oil mist removal efficiencies upto 99% with working pressure upto 5000 PSI. Coalescing is the separation of liquid aerosols & droplets from a gas. Using a coalescing filter element installed in housing with three ports, the wet gas sample passes through the cartridge from inside to outside or vice versa as required. A typical coalescing cross section is shown in the figure below. The middle layer is the high efficiency coalescing layer & the outer is the coarser drainage layer. As the gas enters the cartridge, particulate matter is captured in the prefilter layer. It further passes through microglass fiber media and when it comes out of this filter media, it suddenly expands. The oil and moisture get converted into fine droplets & falls along the length of the cartridge to bottom of the filter housing. This accumulated oil and water droplets can be drained out by automatic drainage system or manual method. S&S coalescing filters are manufactured for all compressed air/gas applications and in-line filter applications to remove oil mist from the compressors that introduce oil vapor into the gas stream.
