These Clarifiers are settling tanks equipped with mechanical means to remove solids deposited by sedimentation on a continuous basis. This circular clarifier is forced downwards as the effluent enters through the central stationary well. This ensures proper residence time of the water in the clarifier to allow solids to settle. The water then rises and exits through the wall gutter mounted on the inner circumference of the clarifier.
