Description :
Ceftiofur Sterile Powder contains the sodium salt of Ceftiofur which is a broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including I -lactamase-producing strains. Like other Cephalosporins, Ceftiofur is bactericidal in vitro, resulting from inhibition of cell wall synthesis.

Indications :
Respiratory Disease like H.S., Pnemonia and Shipping Fever
Post Parturient diseases like Metritis, Pyometra, Vaginitis, Cervicitis
Foot Rot, Pododermatitis [ Acute Interdigital Necrobacillosis ]
Urinary Track Infections

Dosage & Administration :
By I.M. Route
Cattle, Sheep and Goat : 1.1-2.2 mg/kg Body weight
Buffalo : 2.0-2.4 mg/kg Body weight
Horse : 2.0-4.4 mg/kg Body weight
Swine : 3.0-5.0 mg/kg Body weight
For 3-5 days

By S.C.Route
Dog : 2.2 mg/kg Body weight For 3-5 days
Treatment & Care : Do not use if the solution is not clear

As with all drugs, the use of Ceftio a 4 Injection is contraindicated in animals previously found to be hypersensitive to the drug. In the event of a hypersensitivity reaction following the administration of this drug, immediate appropriate therapy should be instituted.

Withdrawl Period : Milk : 7 days & Meat : 4 days. Chicken : Not required as used in day-old chick
Storage : Store in cool & dark place. Avoid freezing of the reconstituted solution
